Emily Man
CEO & Co-Founder
Emily has led the Venova Team as Co-Founder & CEO since inception. Emily is the recipient of a NIH SBIR/STTR Phase I grant award and two NIH/NICHD X01 service contracts. Emily has worked in several medical device industries, including orthopedic implants, advanced stenting technologies, heart valve implants, and rehabilitative exoskeleton devices. Her academic and industry experience span healthcare, biomechanics and mechanobiology, cancer biomarker research, cell therapy, and include contributions to the first IND clearance from the FDA for a multiplex-base edited investigational drug.
In 2021, Emily received a Northeastern University Women Who Empower Innovator Award. In 2023, Emily received the first place Life Sciences Eddie Award from the Massachusetts Innovation Network. Emily is also a 2023 recipient of LabCentral’s Ignite Fellowship Award and Golden Ticket.
Emily holds a BS and MS in Bioengineering/Biomedical Engineering from Northeastern University, where she received a University Presidential Global Scholarship Award, Distinguished Scholar Award, and was inducted into the Huntington 100.
